For many lucky years...

For many lucky years
No vital thing has changed:
I have no pretty girls
As well as no plenty.
In practicing of theft
Never being lazy,
I’d have acquired wealth,
But I drank like crazy.
At times I’m a poor thing,
Longing for a penny;
I have no friends in need,
And I can’t have any.
And I still get along
Playing cards and drinking.
All I’ve performed is wrong,
Wrong from the beginning!
All I’ve performed is wrong,
Wrong from the beginning!
