Poems and Songs of Vladimir Vysotsky. A Song about Friendship.
Commentary to “A Song about a Friend”.
There is a good old saying: “Amicum proba; probatum, ama.” (“Put your friend to the test; after he has been tested, love him.”)
The translation was adapted from Yevgeny Sokolovsky and George Tokarev’s ones.
