Commentary to the song “While you in the bathroom with glazed tiles...”

The plot of this song is based on a real event: in 1961, Leonid Rogozov, the doctor at the Novolazarevskaya station in Antarctica, performed an appendectomy on himself.

The song was written in 1961.
